The recent elections in America will of course bring some sense to the Iraq approach in due course.  What is interesting however, with George Bush campaigning on tort "reform" which seems to have meant big compqnies pay less for their mistakes, is how that galvanized the legal profession into action making them the 2nd biggest contributor to the Democratic Party campaign.  The American Association for Justice, which some people mistakenly still call the American Association of Trial Lawyers, or ATLA, raised $2 million alone for the Democrats.

I wish attorneys in South Africa could become more involved like that.
