Law Society time
|
Here's a picture of the Council Boardroom. Empty, as I guess it is right now, in which you have to spend at least 14 days a year if you wish to be a Councillor. The other days will be spent at other venues, and whether nice or not, you will be inside meeting. 21 days a year is an awful lot and it is not surprising most big law firms do not have representatives on the Law Society. That of course is also a mistake as they need to be heard and they often have more liberal, enlightened views dealing as they do more often, with big business. Just a thought at a time of the year like this when one does have time for oneself - and in particular to how much more time one could have if not involved.
