Nelspruit - A senior Mpumalanga policeman is being investigated for endangering the lives of his men by forcing them to use an unroadworthy vehicle.
The probe, ordered by Mpumalanga police commissioner Afrika Khumalo, was sparked by the near death last week of two officers on the N4 highway outside Nelspruit.
The officers were forced to drive a patrol van with a rear tyre that was so badly worn it was unravelling.
